Education is essential to live in a civilised society. It is a road that prepares you to succeed in your personal as well in your professional life. Unfortunately a lot of children all over the world don’t have the same access to a proper education. Especially in a land full of contrasts such as Mexico, children are often confronted with many obstacles and strokes of fate on their path of learning.
El camino is a documentary photographic series mirroring the life of some Mexican children who represent this highly complex and difficult issue regarding education in their country. It shows their journey from their homes to a learning institution, along a physically and emotionally strenuous road.
